By the way, for those of you who might be wondering why we got to see the "official" RMC-1 CES 2017 announcement over at AVS Forum rather than here, there are two quite reasonable possible answers: - The people at AVS Forum got the Embargo Date wrong and accidentally pre-released the information.
- Part of the deal with getting a big "Front Page Splash" on AVS Forum may have been a guarantee to them that they get exclusive rights to publish the announcement for some period without any competition.

Casey I could be wrong, but I believe a while back a statement was made that Emotiva would be releasing a lot of their new news via AVS. I think a few Grinches (Christmas Day reference) made Emotiva a bit hesitate to always release news here. I think we are still experiencing the fallout of the people who felt Emojifies lied about the delays from the XMC-1. While most of us where just excited for any and all news about upcoming products, now AVS might be our first source Even before Emotiva podcasts. No matter what, I am very excited about the news of an RMC out in the wild even if it is fully functional. The Dirac Live reference threw me a bit because I too thought it was going to have Dirac Unison. However, since most of the Dirac calculations and software does not live on the processor, Dirac Live to Dirac Unison could be a simply firmware update and subscription updated. The processing power will likely already be in the RMC-1.

I love the minimalistic front panel. Not sure why every processor doesn't only have a volume knob, who gets up and physically touches anything anymore.

Can we refrain from blowing this thread up with "Ermagherd something about the RMC-1 got posted somewhere else first...."
So there is some new info. I'm glad.

I would be curious to see how many people that are shopping for the RMC-1 would even be using the provided Emotiva remote. If you're using a $5k processor.... I suspect the average buyer is using a programmable remote. I dunno. I was just thinking out loud.

Why wouldn't I be able to use voice commands with Alexa to operate my new cutting edge RMC-1 ?? Now I've gone and done it!!

If my harmony remote breaks, I can use my phone or tablet or worst case scenario grab the original remote find batteries for it and use it.

We recieved/purchased a hub and gifted from Santa an Echo, so I'm looking forward to myself and especially the Mrs to control our system with our voices. Much easier for the Mrs! Even though the Harmony is very simple to use the 😎 COOL FACTOR will be nice!! Now ill just have to figure this all out! Ill either start a thread and ask for assistance or figure it out quickly! Either way I know my friends here will help me out. Give me a hint please, where should I start? Txs.

I love the minimalistic front panel. Not sure why every processor doesn't only have a volume knob, who gets up and physically touches anything anymore. The design is nice but the fact that it looks like every other XPA product and not closer to a premium product like the XPR amps does take away a little bit from an aesthetics standpoint. Obviously the guts of this is what really matters but the RMC is certainly No longer looks the part like the old renderings but that was vaporware and this is the real deal.
