I have a question about measuring with dirac. In the Emotiva version the measurements are in ten positions at alternating heights. Just watched the video for the arcam avr850 with dirac and it states that all measurements in the ten positions should be at ear level. Ha something changed with dirac measurements since the XMC came out?

No, the "Emotiva way" is actually smarter imho. You room has 3 dimensions and therefore room modes (positive and negative overlay of the waveforms) in length, width and height. So for measuring you should alternate all 3 dimensions to get a better picture of the room. Also not all persons are of the same size, you don´t always sit upright and so on.
The is also a whole thread here regarding the "how to" measure with DIRAC were I think Ansat described more details.
EDIT: You can also look into the DIRAC manual of the MiniDSP - there the height differences are also described.
