I have had good luck with the Yamaha receivers I have owned. No issues at all to speak of and the only downside is their over rated power output numbers. What they rate at 130w x 7 = about 60 wpc @ 8ohms. Also, I don't see a need for 60+ surround modes that they include. They are pretty much bulletproof.

Someone in Edmonton must carry Anthem, or are you only looking at a specific place than I say none, when I changed from my Yamaha RXV-1065 receiver to my UPA-1's and Emotiva gear it was the biggest upgrade in SQ i have had to date, I will never go back to a wimpy receiver, the Anthem are known for having better power and they have ARC room correction, just my .02 from what I've experienced. Got my mom a Denon and it doesn't seem too bad for what she needs but my needs are a little more haha.
