No Love for the Master? Much love for Beck. But did you know Beck considered Buddy Guy the Master.

If you Peter Green fans would like to really surprise people, play Fleetwood Mac's Vintage Years and let them guess who. They were a good blues band before pop/rock with the girls. The Yardbirds had Clapton, Page & Beck all play lead as some point. I'ld say that's some luv. We still play Blow By Blow. Saw Beck numerous times but the biggest surprise was seeing him preceding Stevie Ray. I thought it was disrespectful for the concert producer not to feature them together for a big finale.

Peter Green and the early Mac (prior to what's her name) is one of my favorite blues bands. I've posted a few clips of their music and have only received one thumbs up. No love for the Mac !
At their height (69 -70) they were outselling the Beatles and Stones combined. I was lucky to catch their last live performance at the Boston Tea Party. Shortly after Peter and Danny lost it mentally. So sad. The two could play off each other as well as Betts/Allman. Peter had a style referred to as 'economy of style'. He would pluck some real sweet notes lulling you along and build it, deliver it hard and slam you to the ground and finish you off with those sweet notes again.

^^^ Speaking of live concerts. I just scored a 3rd row seat to see Robert Cray with Hi Rythm in Nashville on the 27th. A very favorite Blues guitar for me. Really looking forward to the show!
