Well this is awkward! Today i had 2 different computers with me, tried using HDMI from one and DP-> hdmi with the other, no success there either. However i ended up with the UMC-200 freezing itself several times so i had to do a few hard shutdowns (power button on the back).. then i was gonna demonstrate for my buddy on where the encoded formats should be listed as they are on my SPDIF output and.. VOILA.. its there?! ALL of the formats supported by the UMC-200, i was stumped.. Tried a few movies with WASAPI + Passthrough and True HD, DTS-MA activated in KODI and everything works like a charm! Not sure if this was a combo of a reflash/reboot several times but i didn't change anything else really, last night i couldn't even get HDMI from my ATI gfx to send any sound at all. Im never touching any setting with this setup now And no, my TV cant play True HD but it detected Dolby and DTS (which is supported by the tv) - Straight away when plugged in directly from PC->TV, hence i assume the handshake worked like it was supposed to

Here's to hoping they don't mysteriously disappear anytime in your future. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Never worked with or am familiar with a TV that could process TrueHD/DTS-MA, so I don't know how similar or different it is compared to a processor. The TV won't be driving 5.1 or 7.1 speakers, how exactly is it processing Truehd? If it can take TrueHD, is it really negotiating TrueHD or the DD core (or DTS core)? All things I don't know but I do know/trust like-devices, hence my suggestion. The TV won't handle the high res formats, but it handles the DD/DTS core, which it downmixes the bitstream to stereo. The computer was already negotiating DD/DTS with the TV so it should have managed at least that with the UMC-200. It wasn't, so something was likely wrong further down the train. It's a LCD negotiation, which can be pretty finicky at times. -tm

*Update* i have been fiddling around with the settings despite what i said Looks like if i have the Video-On-Standby turned ON it fails to talk with the computer, turn it off and immediately it detects all supported formats. All other settings set to ON. Might help someone if they encounter the same problem..
