RSP-1 PreAmp Blue-Ringed Power Button 'Sticks' So Blinks

Using my RSP-1 for quite awhile with my XPA-1L monoblock amps playing through my Klipsch Cornwalls.
Now, blue ringed power button in front 'sticks' when pushed and all the lights and the unit pulsate off and on and off and on and so forth.
I have to turn it off with the switch in the back to stop it.
Any ideas to remedy this is appreciated.
Due to physical issues, I can't pack and load this thing off to UPS to Franklin TN so really need ideas.

Sounds like the front soft switch might be broken if I recall this could happen. There is like a plastic piece that might have broken.
