I currently own a Pioneer Elite SC-05 AVR with Class D amplification and recently purchased a pair of HSU CCB-8 speakers which are fantastic! I am wanting to scale down to a 2.1 channel system and have been looking at the TA-100 as a replacement for the Pioneer. My question is, do you think I will lose sound quality by moving to the TA-100? I have 0 experience with integrated amplifiers or separates but really want to move in this direction. Any guidance would be much appreciated.

I own the TA-100 and have enjoyed its use for some time now. Sound quality is extremely good and as a smaller unit then any AVR it packs a punch. Ive run everything you can think of through it, PC via USB, phono, TV via optical, CD via coaxial! Have used it to drive Klipsch reference bookshelf and KEF LS50's which can dip below 4 ohms. Has a lovely sound and a bargain at its price point.
Let us know what you decide to do.
Another thought, Emotiva does have the 30 day returne and its such a light unit that it would cost near nothing to ship back if you went another way.

Since you have a subwoofer this move would be a mistake. The TA-100 offers no bass management. Either keep your current receiver or go for the Marantz NR series which is more low-profile than other receivers.

My speakers are 94db so it will be no problem for the TA-100 to drive them. I will be connecting all those components you mention which is why I like the TA-100 especially the phono stage. I guarantee it is far superior to my AVR phono stage. I am thinking I am going to try it. I have always wanted to build a separate component system and the price to value seems so amazing! I will keep you posted!

I am not too concerned about base management as I will use the crossover filter on my sub. Not ideal but it does work.
