If Samsung has purchased Harmon, does it mean that Samsung now owns Revel as well? Uh-Oh... Yes, as well as all the Harmon International brands including Infinity, JBL, JBL Professional, Lexicon, AKG, AMX, Crown, Harman/Kardon, dbx, DigiTech, Mark Levinson, Martin, Revel, Soundcraft, and Studer. edit - oops, sorry for the repeated information.  It is an $8 billion all-cash stock buy out, by the way, and Samsung has stated their primary motivation was to get into the automotive electronics sector not home or professional audio. |

Why are you guys worried about JBL? Kenji (Kenrick sound)in japan is keeping all the classic fi (JBL) going strong with upgrades and refurbishments that are most likely better than original equipment from JBL 20 years ago. I have a set of L65's and L 166's in systems and they sound great! When I have guests over to listen they do not care about my new speakers( Gallo and Martin Logan), they only want to talk about and listen to the Jbl. There are better speakers than vintage Jbl but they will never be as cool to own.
