I had the XMC-1 installed by some pro's when the theater was built, question is, when the v3 cards and DTS-x cards arrive, I ship my system for an upgrade, will the upgrade mess with my Dirac settings or other settings? Meaning, do i have to get the pro's back in to plug it back in? or simpleton like me can plug it back in as it was and it should work like before?

I would think that if you add Atmos and DTS-X and extra speakers you will have to rerun Dirac to get all the speaker distances and delays correct. If you don't add extra speakers and all the other speakers are in the same place as before you might be okay. I would think the new V3 card wouldn't change anything in Dirac.

Must be a millennial.... just kidding. Macromicroman pretty much hit it on the head. But it if you’re not upgrading the speaker layout why change the xmc board?

Not a millennial Just that the "pro" has gone out of biz. Trying to future proof all at once instead resending the unit back once I decide to add extra speakers.

That’s as good of reason as any.
