I finally got around to setting up my triggers from an XMC-1 into an MPS-1/2. I just want the amps to turn on when the XMC is on.
The problem I'm having is that even with every trigger option on, the relays are chattering fiercely. It's like every little thing the xmc does causes the triggers to flip. My understanding was that additional redundant conditions will be ignored, but it's like the xmc is constantly evaluating. This even happens when I enter the setup menu and so up and down across ANY item Zones, Info, Network, MAC address etc. Every button press. Click, Click, Click.
I'm running 4.0 firmware. All of these options are great, but how can I make this thing be stupid? On=On Off=Off

I would suggest calling Emotiva tech support

I believe Emo made something to remedy this when the XMC first came out ,give support a call. I think it was the ET3 but i could be wrong. Bottom of the accessories page.

Great. I'll give them a jingle (given the time of year, seems appropriate)

While I haven't tried it yet, the answer seems to be to insert a 47 Ohm resistor in-line on the positive side.
Where's a Radio Shack when you need one

Bingo. That did it. 47 Ohm resistor across the positive.
This affects all the old amps like the UPA series etc
