My XMC-1 wont "take" commands to cycle through different surround formats ( stereo, all stereo, music, movie, etc). I can get the different surround formats to come up on the onscreen menu by both IR control and by the IPad ap, but it never changes from the initial surround setting.
Has anyone experienced this?
What's the procedure to do a "hard reset"?
Thanks, Sean

If you save your settings before doing this you will be able to restore them after the reset.

Could resolve as simply as shutting down the XMC with the rear toggle, then unplug and turn the rear switch back on unplugged and just leave it for a few hrs to discharge.

I have had my XMC lock up on the connected screen using Dirac, a power off and reboot has always resumed normal operation, just a computer in a fancy box all it needs is a kick in the guts once in a while

Just got around to resetting the XMC by turning off the rear switch for about 30 seconds and then turning it back on. Everything works just fine now. I'm a happy camper.
