I agree Peter Gabriel's Secret World Live is stunning and I was lucky enough to experience that tour but the 1987 Athens show (photographed in 35mm, restored and stunningly transferred) is the top of the mountain when it comes to concert video in my mind. Gabriel is mesmerizing and Manu Katche's drumming make for perfection. Youssou N'Dour's opening act is an incredible bonus. You convinced me. And after reading a few reviews of the stellar audio surround mix I ordered a copy.

It was the first time for him seeing a Gabriel concert (I saw the show in Chicago).

I had a few buddies over the past weekend to drink some rare bourbon. I had the tablet on and they were taking turns using Roon/Tidal to play some music.
As things were winding down around midnight I put the Celebration Day Led Zeppelin blu-ray concert on my 2.2 system to show them what it could do. Next thing I know we drank a whole lot more bourbon and finished the whole damn concert at around 2 AM. I'm still recovering.

My absolute favorite is Budokan-Miyazaki Anime to Tomoni. It' a concert disc of the music of film composer Joe Hisahishi. It's a region free disc from Japan with stereo and 5.1 audio tracks. It's a visual treat, but the music is the best music I've ever heard off a concert disc, and I have many. Deep, deep bass, lovely strings, amazing percussion and a double size orchestra and chorus of hundreds. There's at least a thousand people performing. It's my go-to demo disc for my home theater system and projector. It's pricey, but easy to grab from Amazon. An amazing emotional experience. Everyone who has seen it wants their own copy.. wonderful video, superb audio. mel

Love Forever Changes Concert (2003)Again, only in DVD and apparently now a combo CD/DVD set (I own the single DVD concert). Amazing show. "Arthur, you don't know how long we've waited!", yells a woman between songs 1 & 2...

Plenty of great ones mentioned and not sure what genre(s) you're most interested in. Best concert vid out of the 25 I have is Peter Gabriel Secret World Live. Exceptional audio quality and very good picture (blu ray not dvd) Scott I pulled this Blu-ray out a couple weekends ago and have to say here, the performance is fantastic, the sound is quite good, but the video just doesn't hold up that well. It's obvious that either the source video recorder just wasn't up to par, or the digital transfer wasn't well done. The picture is very soft and grainy compared to newer selections mentioned here. It's still one of my favorite live shows, but I just want people to know it "ain't video perfection."
