I had a whole Infinity Primus home theater speaker setup powered by a Marantz SR7005 I used since 2010 but recently upgraded the front 3 to Martin Logan Motion series. So i have been in search for new amplifiers to relieve the poor on-board power amplifers inside the Marantz and unleash the Motions! I'm new to home HiFi but come from a 15+ year career background in 12v car audio, the good stuff!! I know, how is that possible? Well over the years I dealt with Eclipse, JL Audio, Zapco, McIntosh, MB Quart(The real German manufactured ones from years past), JBL, Focal, Soundstream & you get the idea. Anyways I came across the Emotiva brand and have been very intrigued, so here I am!!!

I’m a huge fan of Monoblocks! 👍 They have perfect seperation without any crosstalk of signal. Emotiva is world renown for their amps and getting there with the rest of their offerings, actually I’d put many of their offerings against anybody else at twice their price.
That said, I’d love to sign you up as a member of the,,,,,sshhhhhh! SMS,,,,,,Secret Monoblock Society . Headroom for stereo listening is very important for driving any speaker properly. My opinion as well as many others.
We can all tell you great audio stories here on the forum, most of them true,,,,ha,,,,ha,,,, Seriously though, there’s an abundance of knowledgeable people here waiting to help.
We’ll get into acoustics and room treatment before you know it.

Hi. Unusual avatar name choice.
I've heard the air motion ML's and they are a very good purchase imo. I prefer them to their larger electrostatic line. I felt that these preserved tone just a bit better though perhaps the larger line had more pounding bass. Also they are a lot cheaper. I suggest used XPA-2 gen 2 or XPA-1 gen 2 for the fronts. These speakers could do better with amps of this caliber rather than the cheaper basx units. Now keep in mind the rest of your setup needs to be commensurate. Things like poor room acoustics, lack of acoustic treatments, and simply one's own experience can lead to you hearing no difference between amps. A used set of XPA-200 or XPA-100 or UPA-1's would be a nice too though not as good as the ones I previously mentioned.

Thx for the welcomes and hope to be poking around the forums more. I'm actually going to be building an apartment inside my a building where my new shop is going for my business. So I might have the opportunity to build a 17' x 20' room anyway I want I'm really happy with the Motions and looking forward to giving them more juice!!
