Another vote for dbPowerAmp. I used EAC for a few months, but after my friend demoed dbPowerAmp to me, I've been using it for a few years. Most of my thoughts on it would mirror KeithL's.

iTunes with error correction enabled. Pop the disc in; bit perfect error corrected AIFF file (my choice) pops out. What could be easier?

Well, Mr. Levkof has almost convinced me just to stick with the jRiver ripper (simple, but just as accurate as anything else)...
