Yes that should work. I use Pure Vinyl 4 with a Mytek ADC, although main purpose is to route the Phono Pre Amp to Dirac Live. There are quite a few ADCs the are reasonably good and reasonably priced. Among others Jil from Schiit www.schiit.com/products/jilFWIW, Audacity while free and a good problem for some tasks, in MacOS, it crashes frequently for me. EDIT: I suggest you use 96 kHz or even 192 if the ADC you get can handle it. The only downside is more disk space. www.channld.com/purevinyl/pure-vinyl-faq.html#anchor146108

Okay guys so one more question about recording vinyl to MacBook Pro. Can I use My Pioneer Turntable connected to the XPS-1 Gen 2 Phono Amp section, then use my Processor Loop connection to connect to my MacBook Pro. New at this so if this is not the right way to go please tell me. If so I will have to purchase an A/D converter then. Thanks for the help. It somewhat depends on the exact model of your MacBook Pro. Older models have an analog input, you could route the signal there from either your processor connection, or directly from the XPS-1’s output. Newer models only have a “headphone” jack, which appears to be an output. However (depending on your model) you may be able to go into the “settings” and reconfigure the jack to be an input. Here’s an older article describing how it’s done (it may not work on newer models). www.cnet.com/how-to/record-through-your-macbooks-headphone-jack/# If you can’t configure for an analog input on your MacBook Pro you may have to use a USB solution.
