Hello,
I have a brand-new XMC-1 that has been sitting in its box for two or three years. I currently have a UMC – 300? and a couple of X PA amp's driving B&W 800 series speakers.
The reason why I haven't upgraded to the XMC-1 is that I'm legally blind and don't think that I can perform the room correction on my laptop.
Now my UMC – 300 is crapping out, so I don't have a lot of choice in the matter.
I'm looking for someone in the Portland Oregon area who can help me upgrade my XMC-1 to the latest software, install it in my system, and perform the room equalization.
The fee is negotiable.
Please email me if interested.
Thanks,
Keith McIntyre mail@keithmcintyre.us

Hi kmcintyre - If I lived near you, I'd certainly help. Unfortunately, I'm in Louisiana. But if I find myself in your direction on business, I'll be in touch. I hope you find some assistance and I think you'll really like your XMC-1. Cordially - Boomzilla

Thanks, Keith McIntyre mail@keithmcintyre.us Don’t wait for Dirac....with the nominally flat response of those 800’s, combined, with the power of the XMC’s manual room correction, you’re missing the boat. I would suggest getting set up (have to do it anyway). Eventually you will get the assist you need. Are you up to taking it that far? Bill

Hi Keith. I just saw this post. I'm not too far from you (in the Eugene area). Check your email - I'm sure we can figure out a time to get together if you haven't already found someone to help. No fee required. Maybe a beer or wine if you imbibe, or just some coffee if you don't.
