I am interested in using the XMC-1 for both 5.2 Surround and 2.2 stereo using different target curves for each mode. To be clear, the 5.2 system will use the usual FL, FC ,FR, RL,RR +2 subs configuration. For 2.2 I will switch off the FC, RL & RR speakers. This will only work if the XMC can store two different sets of Dirac filters in its memory. Is this is possible?
Also, the manual gives the woofer low pass slopes as either 12 or 24 dB/octave. I couldn't find the high pass slopes for the main speakers in the manual. Anyone know?
Thanks in advance.

Don't recall answer to the other question offhand, I'd guess 12 though.

Is there any way to load a second set of filters without using a computer? From what I understand it’s part of the Dirac license/agreement, or at least there was discussion alluding to this, I don’t think it’s a technical issue. Many have asked for it over the years, maybe it could make it to the RMC-1.

It is a hardware limitation within the XMC-1, if I recall correctly, from other discussions. Rotel has a receiver that can save 3 Dirac filters without the need for the computer. Will be nice if Emotiva includes at least one more storage slot for DIRAC, when the promised updates for Dolby Atmos/DTS-X are available. Or, if there is a way to use a USB stick for additional filter storage.
As to the second question, I think that the high/low pass are basically the same. In my estimation, the sub receives the highest figure set to any individual speaker, when using the "small" setting. If the filter is set for -12 dB with 80 Hz low-pass to LR, but the center is set to -24 db 120 Hz, the sub will get everything below 120 Hz with a -24 dB slope. Maybe more to this, but this is the way it seems to work. You may need to contact Emotiva Tech support for a clearer explanation. Or hopefully, somebody else with more expertise will chime in.

Hi,
there is only one storage for dirac.... BUT there are two other presets. You are able to configure them manuel and use 11 PEQs per chanel. It`s also posible to program this in REW !
