A feminist droid ranting about being oppressed was a bit tone deaf and annoying. And its the Millennium Falcon (Full Kun), Twice Han Americanized it's pronunciation to be Fal Kun. Harrison Ford always said it correctly... Other than that, it was still crash boom ho-hum. There was a reason it is being released in June. www.howtopronounce.com/falconry/

Thanks for verifying my exact thoughts on when I first saw the trailers on this. As disappointed as I've been with the Force Awakens & Last Jedi, I won't be going out of my way to see this or even rent from RedBox. The Star War saga has been turned into a failure over night. What a shame really.

The first trilogy was turned into a joke by many changes from the original. Han shot first! His character arc makes much more sense if he shot first. Plus that’s how it was when first released.
The second trilogy was always a joke. Jar Jar Binks. Give me a break.
I like The Force Awakens if you accept that it’s a modern a New Hope or Star Wars as it was released.
To sum up. Han Shot First.

Star Wars jumped the shark LOOONG ago. I view these recent movies as Disney's crass attempt to cash in on a known entity. No thank you.

Lighten up folks. It's popcorn entertainment not a historical documentary.
We sound like grumpy old men talking about the good old days and yelling at kids to stay off our lawns.
...wait, wasn't that Luke in the last one? lol

Star Wars jumped the shark LOOONG ago. I view these recent movies as Disney's crass attempt to cash in on a known entity. No thank you. My two grown-up kids saw Last Jedi when it was at the theaters. I just watched it on DVD a week ago and was telling them I finally watched it. My daughter had to ask me which one that was, as in, was that the one in which .... ? That's how blurry Star Wars has become. But when I told her how stupid that was when Leia was flying through space, both my kids immediately knew that scene.

Was it named “Solo” because it doesn’t merit a sequel? 🤔
Just making a comment on what Ive read, I haven’t viewed the movie.

Come on people, it's a spin off, I have not seen it, but I will, it's entertainment, like I said before, maybe someone should borrow a few million dollars and make your own movie, good luck!

I will wait until it comes out on Blu-ray. I don't care about who directed it, wrote it or produced it. I just want to delve into a fantasy world for a couple of hours and forget about the reality of real life!!!!! Just my $00.02 worth......

Ok, I just saw it. What a fun movie! Oh course it helps that I'm totally in love with Emilia Clarke.
I thought the story was on par for a Star Wars film. The action just kept on coming, and I thought the acting was good.
Certainly an open door for sequels, which I wouldn't mind seeing.

Even when they do have a plot or the acting is good, the action is so overwhelming that you don't notice anything else. I love action as much as anyone but everything needs some balance!! I know, I am getting older. haha

The critique'ers don't knock you/Bootman/others for enjoying pulp; why is it not ok for them to critique it? Film is art after all, even if not everything is trying to be in the same class as Citizen Kane.

Actually, I found the plot quite compelling. I will be quite disappointed if there isn't a sequel.

I'm going in to this movie fully expecting this to be the best Star Wars movie I've watched! So maybe I'm a little overhyped, but I'm ready!!

Well here's to hoping you think it sucks, because that will mean its actually good.😉😁 Seriously, this is the first Star Wars movie I haven't seen on the first day or at least the first weekend, since I was 7 years old in 1977. First day first showing: ESB, RotJ, PM. First day: AofC, RofS. First weekend: TFA, TLJ. My wife is typically more excited than I am to see them in a theater. She hasn't mentioned it once.

I'm more surprised by the release date. I really thought Disney had a good thing going where you do one new Star Wars movie every December. They kinda owned that month the last few years, plus it gives you enough gap between movies. May was so close to Last Jedi, plus Infinity War, Dead pool 2 etc.
