I just thought I would take a minute to introduce myself. First my name is Scott and I reside in Las Vegas, NV. I am a self proclaimed audio enthusiast but far from being an audiophile. I have a problem that after I buy audio components I keep them. This has led to a lot of cheap systems around my house. Most of my set ups over the years have revolved around TV's but I decided to go back to a 2.0 system (still around a TV!). Yes my 2.0 setup is nothing crazy nor expensive but I am glad I found Emotiva. They have kept in touch with me since my purchases and answered my questions as well as made recommendations. I love the fact that if I email them they respond. Anyway long story short I was looking to deal with companies in America and that led me to Emotiva. Yes I know my integrated amp and CD player aren't made in the US but I like the fact the company is located in the US. Pretty much why I also dealt with Klipsch and U-Turn. Just by looking around I have found a lot of good info and will search out more as my quest for SACDs evolves.

Hi lotaz, first I'd like to join the rest of the Lounge members saying welcome. Second I want to mention that I also live in Las Vegas. I started hanging around the Emotiva Lounge in May of 2011 when I purchased my ERC-1, and I've been here every since. Right here is where I met "snacker" who also lived here in Vegas he joined the Lounge in 2010, and became my Emotiva Buddy for life. This past Sunday snacker came over, we watched the Nascar race listened to music, and enjoyed pizza, and beer for the last time for a "while" because I'm hopeful we will hang out again. This week snacker is moving to a small town in Wyoming to escape from the rat race. He worked in retail sales and has been robbed six times. Earlier this year he went to open his store and could not gain entrance because Police were working a crime scene which ended up becoming a homicide. One of the managers of a neighboring store was shot and killed while opening their store that morning. That was his last straw. His moving has left a void.
I live on the east side of the valley almost at the foot of Sunrise Mountain. If you think you'd like to hang out sometime personal message me and we can exchange info. There is a great bunch of people here with a lot of knowledge. Big Dan the owner of Emotiva, and his staff are very attentive to us. You should be smiling, because you have arrived.

That's good! not that far away. When I first met snacker he lived in Summerlin, on the other side of the valley from me, but we were lucky because it was almost a straight shot across Lake Mead Blvd., which is where I live. I didn't know this when I met him but snacker was very familiar with where I live. He owned a condo right across the street. Lived there until he got married and brought the house. Then he moved back in after the divorce, so we ended up living across the street from each other. Life is so interesting you never know what to expect. He sent me pictures everything made the trip to Wyoming in good shape, so now they unload and start anew. Thanks for responding, I'll pm you. j

J is a cool dude. Had a ton of good times with him.
Wish he was across the street like he was a few days ago. One of the few reasons I'll miss LV.
You guys should hook up. J has some great gear and fun guy to hang with.
