So I picked this Blu-Ray up the other day and gave it a go. While the movie is action packed to the point where you start to loose track of the story line it is entertaining from a audio and visual stand point. One issue I do have though is there is a weird audio glitch at the point where Thanos crushes the Tesseract (its a loud screech). Wondering if this is only happening on my end and is a hardware issues or if this is software related like the encoding on the Blu-Ray. Has anyone else watched the 4K UHD Blu-Ray and had this glitch?

Does not happen in my setup. You should report to Oppo directly and in the Oppo UDP-203 thread on AVS Forum and see if anyone else has had this happen. As for the story line, I believe it's necessary to establish certain plots and line of thinking, especially when it comes to Thanos, Dr. Strange, Tony Stark and Thor. I read the comic books on which some of this plot in the MCU is based on, and knowing why the time line of events, whats behind Dr. Strange's 1 in 14,000,000 statement and Captain Marvel's role will be in defeating Thanos. Lots of side plots that lead in to all of this is what makes this so interesting to me.

I did not notice that at all Good to know. Thanks for chiming in. Does not happen in setup. You should report to Oppo directly and in the Oppo UDP-203 thread on AVS Forum and see if anyone else has had this happen. After a little bit of testing I found it is probably related to my MC-700. When I toggle through the MC-700 mode settings I do not get the sound in the Direct mode. It only seems to show up in the Dolby True HD mode. I am not sure if updating the firmware will correct this or not but I am going to try firmware 2.9.3 and report back.
*Edit* Firmware 2.9.3 solved my weird glitch. As far as I can tell there is no audio encoding switch happening at that point. Not sure why the glitch I was experiencing was even there in the first place.

I have watched that movie several times and I have never noticed anything like what you’re describing. I have watched it ont HT including a Marantz receiver, Rotel amplifier and all EMO speakers. I have also watched it using my Plantronics gaming headset and have never noticed anything.

One of my favorite movies right now and have watched in over, and over, and over in 4K and never noticed a loud screech.
