Hello All:
I have a pair of XPA-1 Gen 1 amps driving my front speakers in my Home theater. The amps are on standby and are triggered by a Marantz Pre-Pro. I have the rear switches set to turn off LED displays.
Today I noticed that on my left channel, 2 and sometimes 3 leds light up in blue in the center of the display. Does this sound like a bad display board or a cold solder joint that others in past years seemed to have discovered?
Thanks

I had a similar issue, where some of the LEDs wouldn't display when driving the amp. I paid about $100 for a replacement LED board, it was super easy to replace (amps were no longer warranted)

Update: I resolved the issue by touching up some suspect solder joints on the display board...thanks

Yep sounds like a cold solder joints to me. I would retouch the connections with solder. Please be careful and allow the XPA to completely discharge the power supply caps before looking at it. Also if you have warranty left let Emotiva help you out.
