Hi All,
I am the happy owner of the just re-released Airmotiv S12. I really love this sub, but I have one small issue and I wanted some feedback from the forum members.
The issue is that when I really crank it up for movies like The Force Awakens, Oblivion, Hacksaw Ridge, etc. The sub actually walks across the floor. I have it sitting on a hardwood floor near the front right corner. After watching a good portion of one of these movies with a lot of action, I'll get up and go over to the sub and it has moved several inches closer to the wall. The rubber feet apparently don't grip the hardwoods enough. Does anyone else experience this with their sub? Should I replace the rubber feet with spikes? Put the rubber feet on those rubber furniture things that are possibly more grippy (Emotiva cust service suggestion)? Get one of those subdude platforms?
I think the fact that its downward firing contributes to this. I can feel the entire couch on the right side near the sub being pressurized by the low frequencies. It's very impressive except for the fact that it moves up against the window sill if left unchecked. I already got a small dent in the corner of the sub due to that.
What is the consensus here? And thanks in advance!

Maybe try some of those nearly flat rubber bumpers/discs. They are often more grippy.

I’d have to attach something to the hardwoods to make the Velcro work. I was thinking of those silicon half spheres - they absorb and are grippy.

I’d have to attach something to the hardwoods to make the Velcro work... No you wouldn't. Buy "self-adhesive Velcro," available even at Walmart. Stick a piece of hook to the floor and a piece of felt to each subwoofer foot. Vibration makes the connection stronger, and this will "lock" the sub in place. The adhesive may eventually discolor the floor if it stays there for years, but it's less damage (and a more secure connection) than using spikes.

Good input, guys... thanks. I’m thinking the non-skid pad route but last night I noticed that the sub wobbles slightly due to the scrapped hardwoods being slightly uneven. I may need to get adjustable spikes to level it, then cut small non-skid pad material to fit the spike cups that go on the floor.
