Update (workaround) -
I've bought a new nVidia based graphics card (Asus GT1030-SL) and now the MC-700 is recognized as multi-pcm (5.1/7.1) capable.
As a reference here are the tests I was able to perform (Only HDMI connected to PC, using separate screen) :
Seems that MC-700 & Intel Display Audio (HDMI) are not getting along, at least until either a firmware update from Emotiva or a driver fix from Intel.
