Update (workaround) - I've bought a new nVidia based graphics card (Asus GT1030-SL) and now the MC-700 is recognized as multi-pcm (5.1/7.1) capable. As a reference here are the tests I was able to perform (Only HDMI connected to PC, using separate screen) : Computer | HDMI | OS | UMC-200 | MC-700 | HTPC | Intel | Win10 | Stereo / Surround | Stereo only | HTPC | nVidia | Win10 | Not Tested | Stereo / Surround | Dell Precision 5540
| Intel | Win10 | Stereo / Surround | Stereo only | Lenovo T490
| Intel | Win10 | Not Tested | Stereo only | Macbook | ? | OSX | Not Tested | Stereo / Surround |
Seems that MC-700 & Intel Display Audio (HDMI) are not getting along, at least until either a firmware update from Emotiva or a driver fix from Intel. Thanks all, Ron
