Hello
Today my XMC-1 started to stretch the images on the TV. I tried new HDMI cables but it did not resolve the issue. I verified that it is not my display issue by plugging the sources directly to the TV. I performed a few factory resets with no resolution.
I attempted to install the latest firmware on a USB stick, but the XMC-1 doesn't appear to detect the USB stick; in the settings menu, it just says "NO USB STICK." The USB stick was formatted to FAT32 and the only file on there is the firmware (XMCupdate-2018_10_08_v5-3), not the zip file. I tried both the front and rear USB ports. I also tried other formats, FAT and NTFS, no luck.
Thank you

legendr34 ... have you tried a “cold” reboot (rear panel power switch turned off) of your XMC-1...? Since the HDMI board of the XMC-1 is a simple “pass through” switch that has no scaling (or any other processing) capability, it is unlikely that the XMC-1 can “stretch” the image. However, flukes do happen, so I would try a cold reboot. If that doesn’t help, check to make sure that you don’t have some sort of “stretch mode” enabled on the input of the TV that your XMC-1 is plugged into. I know you’ve said that you’ve tried the source directly into the TV, but didn’t specifically say if it was the “same” input. Most of the time, these parameters can be set to be “different” on a per input basis on modern TVs. Hope this helps...

But still can get it to read the thumb drive. I will call emotiva directly for that when I have a chance

I had the same issue with a 64GB thumb drive formatted FAT32 which was not detected by the XMC-1. The only thumb drive that seems to work with my XMC-1 is the one that came with the V3 HDMI Board Kit which is 2GB formatted in FAT16.
