Unplugged my amps to install smart plugs to use with amazon echo, now one of the amps won't power up. Keeps clicking back and forth and light in back is on 230v instead of 115v like the other. Have removed smart plug and same problem. Anybody got any idea what is going on. Really don't want to lug this thing back upstairs and send it in. My back already hurts!

But more likely you're going to wind up sending it back. BTW some smart plugs are not rated for 15A and only for 10A. So keep that in mind.

That is a bummer. I am not at all surprised that the amp wouldn't run with the smart plug (it's quite possible that it coudln't handle the turn-on surge). However, offhand, I can't think of any reason why the amp would have been damaged. Have you checked the fuses? If you don't have a blown fuse then, yes, it's probably going to have to come in.
