I have a oppo 103 and dish box and a PC tower all connected by hdmi, I can switch between oppo and dish box with no problem. When I switch to PC tower I get nothing.
I can switch to PC then reboot the PC and everything is fine, if I go to another input and come back to PC it is blank and have to reboot.
Maybe just a problem with the PC tower?? Need some help as this is a royal pain!!!!
Is there a setting in windows 10 that I can change?? I have sleep mode set to never.
Thanks for any help

Need some help as this is a royal pain!!!! Is there a setting in windows 10 that I can change?? I have sleep mode set to never. Thanks for any help I have the same issue. What I learned was that some PC's graphics cards stop sending signal if nothing is there to receive it. So, if you switch off the input of the XMC-1 that the PC is connected to, the PC ends up shutting down the HDMI output. Or, at least that's how I took what folks said. There's also something about the XMC-1 just being a video switch that contributes, but the issue (as I was told) starts in the PC. I searched all over to find a fix for the PC and found nothing - so if you find it, let me know. My solution ended up being simple. I use a wireless Logitech keyboard and mouse for the PC. It has a button that puts the PC to sleep and wakes it back up. So, I switch the XMC-1 to the PC input, hit the "Sleep" button on the keyboard and wait for the lights on the PC to change to tell me it went to sleep, then I hit the button again and the PC wakes back up along with the HDMI output from the PC and I have signal. It's not ideal, but it is a lot faster than a full PC reboot. Mark

And, FYI, I had the sleep setting on the PC set to "never" also. The HDMI output does stop sending if not seeing an endpoint. The VGA does continue to send, though.

this happens because the pc only sends one edid signal. Look for an app called HDMION , i dont remeber how i did it exactly but you set up a task with task scheduler.

Ah yes! I forgot about HDMION! You or someone clued me into that a long time ago when I was fighting the issue, but I could not figure out how to get it to work. Then, I found my "toggle in and out of sleep mode" button. That worked, so I stopped trying to make HDMION work.
