Recently after a power outage I noticed that my sub (in title) has a constant thump with no signal connected. I believe that it is somehow related to the auto on feature which is not defeatable. The light which indicates on status blinks with the thumps.
Question, do you guys think it is worth a repair? I would probably put $200 towards it, but I was advised by my local shop (Definitive Audio, Bellevue, WA) that after the diagnostic, the parts might not be available. Also I have no way of knowing where the final bill comes in. I am using it in a low importance bedroom setup, as I have a JLAudio sub in my main set up. This is a powerful sub with "1500 watts peak, 650 watts sustained", so it might be worth it, as i might have to spend substantially more to replace it with a comparable quality unit.
Or after more than 10 years of use, I just say thank you and goodby?
I appreciate anyone's input, thank you guys.

I have an ultracube 10 that I don't use. Last I checked, it worked fine. If you want to buy it...I would sell it for cheap.

I have two paradigm subwoofers and one of them is starting to develop that same problem. I already contacted Paradigm and the will repair the amps and I am sure that would be cost effective because good subwoofers these days are so expensive.

You are right pedrocols, I contacted them and I just send them the board. Seems like the right thing to do and relatively cheap, considering my replacement options.
Interesting, the sub was the only component affected, and it was not plugged into a surge strip.

It does not look like the same issue, but interesting nonetheless: m.youtube.com/watch?v=lBNs-x-rB9cMost likely boring for those not into technical details, but I found it interesting 😁
