Hello. In my player Pilips BDP 9700 two HDMI output - HDMI MAIN and HDMI AVR. Audio beatstream is output only from HDMI AVR. At the same time, video with HDMI AVR is not output. The video is output from another output - HDMI MAIN. When the audio signal is delivered to the XMC-1 as a beatstream, the XMC-1 sounds better than when the PCM multichannal stream of the is applied. Can you please tell me how to set up XMC-1 when feeding audio stream over one HDMI cable, and video over another HDMI cable. At the same time, so that the video output to the TV was carried out with XMC-1. In my XMC-1 HDMI board versions 3, firmware 5.4. In the HDMI inputs menu there is no possibility to set as an audio input, another HDMI input.

You can play audio from a non-HDMI input and video from an HDMI input because when using a non-HDMI input for audio the last selected HDMI input will still output video.

There shouldn’t be any difference between bitstream and the decoded PCM. They are the same quality. Might want to doublecheck your config on the Philips and XMC1 to make sure all is correct. Maybe the channel count or audio preset is wrong.
