I have a question, when a warrantied item is sent in is it fixed or is it replaced ?
Reason I ask this is because I just had a DC-1 sent in for display work. other than funky low light on some of the letters the unit worked as it should have. all functions worked. I got the unit back from service and the display was great . I didnt hook it all up and test it cause I had no need to. It came with a letter stating all functions checked out ok. I had asked for it to be checked because I thought the voltage output was low. turned out it was not. it was just different than what I was used to.
so I sold it. the new guy has had it over a week. contacts me today and says "the menu button doesnt work" .....
I told him contact Emotiva. they just had it and they said it was all good. its under warranty and warranty was already transferred.
so out of curiosity....what does emotiva do when they get warranty work? do they fix it or do they replace it?

without checking the wording of the "warranty" in question, they probably have the right to either fix or replace.
They Fix and/or Replace depending on situation.
