My setup is nearly identical to yours. Only significant difference is that I use Window Media Center to record OTA HDTV (it has its own free TV guide) and then I stream it to my LCD TV via Plex using a Roku Premiere+. I supplement Netflix and Amazon with an occasional subscription to Sling TV, mostly during big sport events, like the Olympics or the Soccer World Cup. We do not watch that much TV to justify a monthly subscription. Are you still running Windows 7? Media Center was very good for managing OTA recording, but since 10 came out, Media Center disappeared which is why I run Next PVR & Schedules Direct. I'm running HDMI from my PC to the MC-700. I'll have to investigate Sling or other similar options. Thanks Yes, still running Win7 on all our PCs at home. On my own laptop I also have Linux Mint, which is what I use most of the time. However, with MS announcing the end of Win7 support, time for a change is approaching fast. I will most likely gradually replace all of our home PCs and get new machines with Win10. The old ones are well spec'd and could take an upgrade to Win10, but I never had very positive experiences with Windows OS upgrades. I'd rather buy a PC that comes natively with Win10. I will never understand why MS did not carry over WMC to Win10.

So my 4k firestick arrived today and I activated it and then I proceeded to follow the instruction video I found on u-tube on how to jailhouse break the firestick. I don't have cable anymore but now I have a doorway to the entertainment universe I'm currently watching the Golden State, Houston game through a free sports app on the fire stick it's just like watching it before on ESPN. I'm just going to say do yourself a favor. I plan to open up and explore more of the apps I'll let you know what I think. But right now it's so far real good.
