What have you found is the best furniture for sitting in the sweet spot? I’ve had couches and sectionals that have worked in the past, but now with a new room I am thinking of a recliner. On what does your ass sit while listening?

On what does your ass sit while listening? Depends on the amount of fat present on those hams of yours. My hams are lean thus I have plenty of options, but I prefer plush seating. What I actually have are, theater seats and comfy office chairs. One day I'll get a plush recliner just because. Remember to take care of your hams!

Be sure not to have cushions or headrest behind head.

Haven't assked him... My local dealer is using Fortress and AcousticSmart. Nice but pricey. My son bought a nice powered recliner from Lazy Boy that was cheaper and is actually pretty nice.

I think I saw a speck of dust in that 2nd picture......totally destroys the acoustics, unacceptable!!!

Even with the nice diffusor between the mains that second room likely sounds like ass.

I've taken the "gotta be comfortable" approach. For years had a large comfy sofa, and since then it was a wood framed leather recliner which rested my head just a touch low, and now a powered recliner 2 seater which has a shorter back and is higher sitting.
Ya always gotta consider the comfy reclined head height, and as audiobill says be mindful about cushion-blockage (is that even a "thing"?).

That second picture is a rough acoustic challenge for the stellar front end he has. Clearly from the looks of the acoustic treatment on the front wall, he's tried. But that hard wood floor, narrow room, glass sidewalls, side couch - ouch! All coupled to equipment that could have just bought him a much nicer room.

Couple grand or so depending on features.
btw, rich people are rich because they ask what the price is, then they ask for a discount, then they tell you what they'll pay. Our company built a house w/guest house that was bid at $22mil, then the guy worked on the little guys and cut $6mil off before we broke ground. He knew the price.

This works for me. Both ends of the couch 🛋 power recline and the headrests are also powered. USB additionally on both ends and the rocker is powered the same way as well. The left side facing sits perfectly in the sweet spot. Bill
