The “Shipping Instructions” email wasn’t clear to me. I was under the impression that Emotiva sends us a shipping label, or am I wrong? I sent an email asking about this but if anyone knows, I’d appreciate a little help. I too am going through the trade-in process right now, and according to the last e-mail I got, it says, “Thank you for completing your order for your XMC-1 Trade-In! Please use the following steps when sending your XMC-1 back. We will send a shipping label to you via email.” Ahhhh, yes I see it now. It’s above the instructions. The Earth can continue spinning again now that this is resolved. .

I’m anticipating another Emotiva email today or tomorrow that includes a shipping label.

To be perfectly honest, it was yesterday evening when I was getting all the accessories together that I noticed the Shipping Label part of the email on my 3rd time reading it.

I replied to the same email yesterday as well, and Kayla has been pretty quick to reply every time, so I’m thinking the same thing.

I received my Email last week and decided to jump in the upgrade program. My initial thought was to wait for many bugs fixing and release of Dirac, but the next firmware version promise to fix a lot and the last podcast talk about Marsh for Dirac. My XMC-1 is schedule for delivery today at Emotiva, so I must receive the XMC-2 within the next two weeks, it's a long wait because I have nothing to replace my XMC-1, so no music and cinema, only cable box plugs directly into tv.
Now I hope that the next 1.8 firmware will be rock solid, and Dirac available as promised without delay and also hope not regretting my earlier decision of updating.
Except for a few bugs in the very early version of the XMC-1 firmware, I always enjoyed my XMC-1, I expect nothing less for my next XMC-2, Emotiva you have fixed the bar high with the first generation, I hope a lot for the next one, please don't disappoint me.

I agree that Emotiva has been quick to reply ever time.
I just received another Emotiva email. They sent my shipping label via UPS, which works for me. I’m already signed up with UPS so I’ll get text message updates on all shipping activity.

Did they send you a Tracking Number first, then the Printable Label? Because today I received a Tracking Number but it's not able to be used for any label purpose, I verified with UPS.

I received an email from UPS this afternoon. You were spot-on geebo and now UPS has my XMC-1. Thanks!

Got the real, printable label late afternoon so all is good. They sent just the tracking number first thinking it was the label. No biggie, but I scratched my head quite a bit trying to guess what I was supposed to be getting. Thanks all!

Out of curiosity, When did you recently lucky ones sign up for the trade in program?

^^^^^^ Last April, then again in May or June because something changed in the way people could sign up, then again after each batch of First Come First Serve Open Season Black Friday Type Rush Buying Sprees which only lasted a couple hours each until Sold Out, then signed up one last time after this last Change Of Offer for the Trade-In. But in my mind the one that counts is the first signup in April, but I just wanted to make sure.

For anyone wondering about timelines, I sent my XMC-1 off last week. It arrived at Emotiva on Friday. They finished the examination on Monday and processed the XMC-2 order that same day. It shipped on Tuesday, and I should have it by EOD Monday. I'm on the west coast, which is why it takes a week to get to me. Overall, it was a quick turnaround. I'm, not sure if that's normal, or if I got lucky. While I still wish there was a way to have pre-payed and received the XMC-2 before shipping the XMC-1 back, I have to say this felt very streamlined.
As LCSeminole mentioned, Emotiva's customer service has been very good about responding to emails and communicating throughout the process. I often find myself getting frustrated with Emotiva due to missed timelines, somewhat misleading statements on the forum, odd product decisions, etc..., but whenever I actually interact with the company directly, I'm reminded why I keep coming back. It's always good to be reminded that this forum can distort your perception of the company, for better or for worse. It's not an official channel for communication, even though they try to interact with us somewhat regularly. Communication through official channels tends to be very good.

^^^^^^ For me it went like this: Thursday: XMC-1 to XMC-2 Trade-In email invite. Thursday: I paid, then received Order Confirmed email showing payment. Friday: Order Confirmed email with a different order number. I think this one is for Return Label. Saturday: "I did nothing. I did absolutely nothing and it was everything I thought it could be". (Office Space) Sunday: Watched the Daytona 21. Finished watching the Daytona 479 on Monday. Monday: Should have received Return Label but was sent Tracking Number instead. oops Monday: Received Return Label. Tuesday: I shipped XMC-1. Wednesday: I did nothing again. noooo, just kidding. Today, Thursday: XMC-1 is Out For Delivery to Emotiva.
edit-1: Today, Thursday: XMC-1 Delivered to Emotiva at 9:55am.
edit-2: Today, Thursday, 3:33pm: Received email confirming XMC-1 received, being checked. Today, Thursday, 3:51pm: Received email confirming XMC-1 passed inspection and XMC-2 is shipping today with tracking! Will be delivered to me on Monday!
So basically the same story as others have told. Very efficient procedure for checking and shipping! Thanks Emotiva! end of transmission
