I am new to the streaming end of music from sites like Spotify or any of the other sites. I have a TA-100 for a pre amp. What do I need to stream music and how do I set it up ?? Any advice is appreciated.

What service would you like to use and what quality music would you require? There are many options. Budget?

No not me. But if Jackc want to play stuff from the internet via is TA-100 I think the easiest way is like I am doing right now. Computer+USB+TA-100 and call it done.

Any advice is appreciated. Pandora every morning with COFFEE (yeah!). Setup?.....any device that runs Apps can utilize Pandora. I give them 5 dollars a month and that gets me ad free 24/7 and the ability to download offline "stations" for listening in the car without data or commercials. My car is Apple car play equipped, so the stations pop up on my dash. Bill

I stream a couple of ways currently. For music I have a wonderful old Squeezebox Touch! Love that thing. It is hard wired to my ethernet and pulls music off a hard drive attached to my main tower. I also occasionally use my Plex server where my video is stored and shared. Plex uses a different naming protocol, and I have more music than I am willing to rename the folders, so I do not get the full extras for all my music. But I can stream through Plex just fine if I wish to, and it is killer for movies and tv.

Sometimes you just have to hit the EASY button.
Buy a Bluesound Node 2i. Load control App on phone.
Enjoy streaming music of your choice.

+1 for brubacca suggestion. Bluesound Node 2i. Thousands of free streamed internet stations. Ability to stream MQA (paid service). Great sound quality. Good apps for Android or IOS..

We have Sonos for "general" listening around the house...
I use Spotify and listen to Radio Paradise.
I am very tempted by some of the new $500 Android based DAPs too.
I listen to high res on my computer with JRiver Media Center. I wish I'd purchased Roon back when it was cheaper.
I have used Tidal in the past and like the lossless quality, but never could justify $20/month. Maybe I should try it again.

I really enjoy Media Center too. It is my favorite organizing tool for a large music collection.

I too used to subcribe to Tidal, but I found it too expensive for what I used it for. My Amazon Prime gets me free shipping on most items, free streaming movies, and FREE MUSIC STREAMING. Maybe not the highest quality, but not a bad quality. And did I mention that it is already included in a service I already pay for?

+1 For Bluesound Node 2i, stupid easy to use, gets you Spotify, Tidal, Qobuz (among others). Sounds better than the Sonos Connect for not much more money.

I subscribe to Tidal. Really enjoy the quality.
I also have a LOT of CDs (all ripped), and I use Roon to manage everything (including Tidal) in one place.
