I can’t get my pics to upload here but running Acoustic Signature WOW XXL table, TA-1000 tonearm, Ortofon Cadenza Black cartridge into Lehmann Audio Decade through Nordost Frey tonearm cable. I’m finally satisfied with my vinyl playback system Time to get you up and running with Imgur or the like
Jeff's TT rig Sounds quite excellent but I have yet to hear the new cart and Pre. Scott
The rest of the rig. Sorry for the horrendous cell pic...
Definitely Droolishious

1968 Thorens TD-125LB Mark I… This was a Craigslist find/STEAL ($1,100) This is a GREAT table to begin with but this is the ULTRA RARE Long Base from the factory. Only 1 of every 3600 produced were the Long Base and this is the real deal, it's not a re-man simulated LB. The LB accommodates a 12" arm which this is equipped with an SME 3012 Series II. Both the arm and table have been completely rebuilt. The ARM was completely disassembled and rebuilt/rewired (w/Cardas)at SME in Ontario and the table was rebuilt/upgraded by Vinyl Nirvana in New Hampshire I added a 1/2 inch Birch base, Walnut Armboard and it sits on AudioTechnica TT Feet I also use a BREN Weight (not pictured). I have had MANY, MANY, MANY tables in and out of the stack 10k modern tables and Classic tables from Sony, EMT, DUAL, Reko's, Linn Et Al and still the only constant resident is the 125 LB. I have even had the venerable Thorens 124 MK I and IIs in LB and I still find that for overall quality of sound and lack of fickleness the 125 takes the cake!

Not mine but it’s Schiit’s newest offering, the Sol turntable. looks well built and adjustable. $799. Is a good price as well, if it performs as good as it looks. www.schiit.com/products/sol

Actually $799 per the product page. Yes sir, not sure what I was looking at to come up with that price. 🙄 You were trying to talk yourself out of getting one by thinking $900 was too much. Now that you've realized it is only $799, you can be one of the early adopters.

Actually $799 per the product page. Yes but for $10,799 they will fly out a in house technician to set it up for you Well don't let Boom's wife know about it or she will also pay an extra $10,000 for the 5 year warranty and belt insurance. I haven't decided whether to let her get involved in the test-drive / purchase process or not. The last time (and only time) I let her get involved, she cost us a LOT of money by insisting on buying a ton of additional insurance against issues that are already covered by the factory warranty (hence my comment about not confusing her with facts...). In general, added insurance is HUGELY lucrative for the companies selling it because, statistically, the likelihood of needing any of that coverage on a new car is nearly nil. Therefore, the insurance peddlers are really eager to sell the add-on policies (that they're selling on commission) to the ignorant rubes. But in the stress (and to my wife, it IS a stress) of spending that large an amount of money on a new car, she's highly vulnerable to the idea of insuring everything. Try to talk her out of it, and she becomes profoundly upset, thinking that her opinion is being ignored. For that reason alone, I probably will seek NOT to have her involved in the actual purchase. If she wants to test drive the car, I'll either bring it home and let her drive it, or else take her to the dealership for a test drive. But under no circumstances will I make the purchase with her present. Perhaps most spouses aren't such a pain in situations like this, but mine is. On most things, I've learned (and in some cases, the hard way) to appreciate, respect, and value her opinions, but on cars, she's a klutz. I love her to death, but nobody's perfect... Boom

omg, "Droolishious" definitely, all are very nice. Owned, then sold Thorens #126? with Rabco vertical tracking arm. Stole it for $50 because tonearm was destroyed. Did they drop a brick on it??? Think I paid $100 for the Rabco. My buddy had to have it, so I obliged him. From that time on, my TT's went down hill. Had a PL100 Pioneer w Shure V15 type 4 (fav), & different Empire, Stanton, AT, ADC models. Upgraded from manual PL-10 I was so anal about LP care, but finally gave up- S happens, buy another. Came home one day and the Doberman had eaten about a dozen LPs, must have been the cheese dip. lol We now use my wife's 1980's Technics SL1200 Had to bubblegum & duct tape it a few times. July, I finally disassembled, repaired, cleaned & readjusted. sounds better. As someone stated, not going to spend $500-1k to play LP's that survived years of drunken parties- I'd have the nicest crackle & pops possible.
