Really glad to hear you are enjoying those speakers. BTW that electronic front end you've got going sounds like it's INCREDIBLE! Class A fully balanced with dual torroids? Heck yeah! Oh yes, that amp is a monster, and sounds pretty incredible. Those circuit boards used gold plated traces for every circuit. The T2 preamp is pretty special as well. Fully balanced, one of the first high end preamps with a remote control as well. The power supply for the T2 is in a separate case attached with a special umbilical cord to the main case. That power supply case weighs 30 pounds all by itself.

Odds are that THAT Amp is a Nelson Pass design, which would explain the "beefy" Old-School construction and array of Power Transistors (JEEPERS! - Just LOOK at all of those TO-3 cans and THICK Aluminum Heat Sinking!) That was indeed designed by and the manufacture supervised by Nelson Pass. I believe the output transistor count is 28 per channel, or 56 total. I used to know that all by heart but havn't thought about it for a while. I need to pull out the owners manual and refresh my memory. Being all class A, it does run hot and those heat sinks do their job. After it's been running for a while they get up to about 115 degrees F.

I am still enjoying my T2 very much. It is feeding straight 2 channel system without any subwoofer nor room correction. My sources, Esound CD-E5 and Vpi Scout tt are singing pretty through XSP-1 to pair of UPA-1 mono blocks. I don't miss my previous Magnepan speaker at all. With Magnepan, I was constantly tweaking. Whenever I thought dialed in just right, it wasn't so next listening session. However, when it is dialed in just right with certain recordings, it truly was wonderful but I got tired of keep adjusting. With T2 in place, I haven’t need to constantly tweaking once I dialed in. It just sounds wonderful with almost all of my musics that I care to play even my mp3, flac files from my portable player, Fiio X5.

For 799, I don't know what you can buy that would sound as good. I have a few recordings that I use to demo a system to see if it makes the grade for me. These are recordings that, when properly reproduced, give me goose bumps. The T2's passed that test.

There are several that I find really bring out the best in a really fine audio setup. One is live concert recording of Jocelyn B. Smith entitled "Live in Berlin". The final track is an unaccompanied vocal of her singing "My Way". Here is a you tube video of that recording being used to demo a pair of Magnepans : Another great sounding recording is another live concert recording of David Wilcox, "Live Songs and Stories", especially the song "Show The Way". Although the entire CD has excellent sound.

We did some listening Friday night, believe the T2+ have run-in with 30-40 hrs on them. Wife picked Yanni "Niki Nana" CD. Don't laugh, it's a well recorded album with a lot of dynamics & different instruments. I grabbed Annie Lennox- Diva We are really enjoy these speakers. My wife is enjoying them more than I thought she would. Had a good idea I would like them from comments of folks here who's opinion I respect. Better than expected. Very musical, they reproduce albums I've heard for years and bring forth instruments that were 'just there' in the MA Silver 2.5 way A/V speakers, knew a 3-way design would improve music play. Sure don't regret paying $1500 more for MA Silver 500 If there are any clearance T2, grab them, the + can't be that much better. Thinking I may grab the C2+.

Got my T2's the Friday after Black Friday, bought them from the comfort of my lazy boy chair(on black Friday) with a few beers in hand. My hope was that I would be as impressed with the sounds they produced as everyone else on this board seems to be.
I have an older pair of Wharfedale something or others. Certainly not top of the line, but produced a favorable sound to my ear, both musically and in my home theater set up. Handed down to me from a friend I will now pass them on to my kids.
After a couple weeks of the T2's being hooked up to my somewhat cheap system, watching a few movies, lots of hockey games, and general TV watching, I had a chance to sit and listen to some music through the T2's today with no one else home. I do like to listen at levels that tend to piss off the rest of the house....
I am no audiophile. I don't own the best equipment. My receiver was bought on boxing day here in Canada, model number unknown, but a Yamaha 7.2 channel anyways. You know... Last years model at a HUGE discount! Maybe even 2 years ago model. LOL
I run my ripped mp3's (I have lots of these) of varying quality and my wav/flac files (I don't have many as I couldn't be bother to take the time to rip to these formats for most of my collection, already ripped them to MP3's years ago) through Media Monkey server on my laptop to the Yamaha amp. I use the Yamaha app on my phone to choose whats playing, volume, etc.
My listening tends towards Country and Western, Hank Williams and Johnny Cash right through to Keith Urban and Martina Mcbride. Rock from Louis Armstrong and Chubby Checker through to Elton John, Queen, Metallica. Pretty much if they play it I will listen! Oh ya love me some Bob Marley on occasion to!
Enough of me, the T2's, not what I would call fully broken in but.... Damn am I impressed! As stated I listen to a wide variety of music, and MP3 rips varying from ok quality (nothing below 192 VBR) through the 'lossless' codecs. Crap in does equal crap out. so I found myself skipping the, 'crap'. It sounded worse that usual. I think that is a good thing. Nothing was being hidden here, if the rip was sh**, it sound like it.
A few hours in I decided to hit one of my all time Favorites. Fleetwood Macs Rumors. I have ripped this to a WAV format. Someone stated above they have a few albums or songs that give them goosebumps when played back on really good equipment. Rumors does something like this to me. I am listening along, likely singing quit loudly along (I did mention no one was home, right?) Go Your Own Way comes on. A few more decibels are required... wasn't goosebumps, but I know there was a huge smile on my face. Then Songbird was next. Christine McVie has one of those voices...
I really don't know much about sound stage, perfect speaker position, etc, etc. I just mess around and try to get something I like. In this case, Christine McVie was sitting right in front of me on her piano singing just to me! I didn't get goosebumps, I almost pee'ed myself!
I will leave it at that, goosebumps, peeing your pants, huge smiles. Whatever your display of emotion is through music. I am willing to bet the T2's will give it to you.
Mine will, for years to come I can assure you of that!

Kevin glad to hear you like them. others, including non-audiophiles, occasional audiophiles and seasoned audiophiles tend to agree that the T-2's are an amazing speaker in it's price class. I am certainly impressed and in the 50-some years I have been purchasing sound equipment from the budget range to uber expensive high end gear range,(back in 1984 my Infinity RS-1speakers cost me $5000.) I have yet to purchase a set of speakers that did so much well for so little money. the T-2's are quite a bargain. tchaik...............

I'm surprised there are any closeout T2's left. At $700, it would be a challenge to find anything sounding as good for twice (or more) the price. If you heard & like the B1, the T2 (& T1) is a no-brainer.
Someone mentioned that their prized speakers, owned for years, don't appeal to them any more.due to their hearing change. They bought the T2 and are now satisfied with the change of upper end smoothness from T2. I'm in total agreement

I 'took the skirts off' the T2s over the holiday, applied XPA power & listened to many genres including and especially pipe-organ music. Did a with/w'out M.A sub (25hz) and they did a pretty good job playing low. The roll-off to 35hz was not as pronounced as expected, respectable. Some of the difference may be 135w/ch receiver (the usually connection) vs preamp, 200w/ch power amp. We've had the music playing for 5 days straight. Don't know if it was holiday cheer, but stayed up to 2:30 am one night enjoying the sound- think they have finally "run in". The upper end was smoother & the low end had more punch. I will admit the Monitor Audio 2.5-way are hard to beat playing brass instruments, but the folded ribbon tweeter have it all over the M.A. tweeter- smooth without any sharpness. I'll repeat myself, glad I didn't spend the money on the other 3-ways I was considering; a good compromise for someone who's hearing isn't what it was. (I'm not deaf yet, I can still hear quality & fidelity) The C2 is on my to-do list because of the ribbon.
Anyone else listen to pipe-organ music over the weekend & thoughts?

I’m actually really impressed with the mid bass in my Stealth 6s I got at the open house, so I’m thinking I’ll be even more impressed with the T2+’s. I’ll probably have the Stealths for sale here, but gotta get the T2s ordered and in place before I give them up. I also do not have the space for the C2, so wondering what I’ll give up using a C1?

A fellow member sent me this evaluation of the C1 "The C2 is as everyone says a beast. No way around it, it’s superior to the C1. Now did I need the C2? Absolutely not... if I had to pay full price for both in my setup I would go for the C1. I am using it as a living room 5.1 setup for casual watching and the occasional serious movie watching and frequent 3.1 all stereo music listening. If I was using it for a dedicated theater with mid-large size. 10+ seats I would start to consider the C2. The mids are fuller in the C2 but not noticeable until you get within 10db of reference does it actually show itself. Where the biggest difference I’ve notice was in the lower frequency explosions or deep deep male voices BUT if you have a good subwoofer Crossed over with a decent sound processor it should be a moot point. the C2 is physically much larger with rear ports, this caused a problem as ideally it would occupy the same spot as my ust projector. With the C1 I had room to mount it, the C2 is slightly lower than ideal until I can come up with a better solution. This long explanation seems like I’m talking myself back into the C1 but the physical size and design matches my T1s better. The C1 worked well driven by my receiver, the C2 required more amplification to get the same clarity. But amplified correctly the C2 could easily sit on its own as a full range front. C1 would lose steam as a full range front." I believe there are two C1 on the Emporium for sale.

I can certainly wait. I intended to use the current promo to get the $200 from the T2 sale to pay for most of the center channel.
