Hey there,
owning a XMC-1 for a couple of days now and being VERY happy with it I by now ran into a problem that I hope this community will be able to solve: Controlling my AV-components with a Philips Pronto TSU 9400 RC I'm looking for the XMC-1 RC commands as Hex-code. The codes provided here on the board won't work (can't even transfer the code into the Pronto3 Editor, I guess because it's too long?), neither does the "Learn"-function of the TSU 9400 work with the XMC-1-RC.
Anyone able to support me with Hex-Code-list that is proofed to work with Philips Pronto RC? Would be great!
Kind regards, Marcel

That's interesting....
The codes for the XMC-1 haven't changed in years. We have several old Prontos that we use around here... and we've never had any trouble with either edited or learned codes.
For editing, we generally use an old (and no longer officially available) shareware program called Code Doctor...
(We have heard rumors that European versions of the Pronto may be different... )

Hey Keith, thanks for your response. Searching the net (e.g. AVS-Forum) as well as in here I get the impression that I am not the only one struggling with that issue. I first was very happy to see that EMOTOIVA offers a list of commands in HEX for Pronto for download, but that changed fast as I cannot even transfer those to the latest official Pronto-Editor (ProntoEdit3, should still be available on e.g. remotecentral.com).
There is a couple of folks who seemed to have worked hard on a workaround, I'm by now testing what's working and what is not with Pronto TSU 9400 (next step will be RC codes UMC-1).
Kind regards, Marcel

Just to close this - I by now collected Hex-codes from multiple sources (many thanks to all those who took part in it) and the result works fine. Finally.
And now... heading for the couch to enjoy my XMC-1
Kind regards, Marcel
