I used two 16W X 48H acoustical fiberglass's panels stacked floor to ceiling in each corner (forming a triangle) and filled the space behind them with triangular shaped foam blocks. Seems to work well as an absorber and as a bass trap and they passed the wife test. In my house that would fail the husband test

Make sure the front of the room where the speakers are stays "lively". Behind you could be an acoustic black hole (or an opening to the outside). The problem with that though is that your room could become "dead" sounding. Every room is different and every listener is different.

I did recently add a leather love seat to the room, so maybe I'll try removing the front two and test for your "black hole " concept. I'm becoming more of a fan of your room treatments being the key to room correction. I ran the Dirac system set-up, but I'm not hearing much of a difference between Dirac and no Dirac. I'd like to see if there's a base measurement function in Dirac to see how the room treatments amounts and placements alone are enough.

Dirac will not "measure" its own filter after it is calculated, it will only measure the raw speaker response without filters being active. I use REW for general measurements. I use it to verify what Dirac is doing, to test ranges of frequencies of speakers and/or subwoofers, etc. It's a very handy application.
