My older USB cable has apparently died and I’m in the market for one that will hold up over time and deliver the data I need to my RMC-1. Thanks in advance.
Edit; actually 32 feet in length 😳

I’ve used it for some time and now it has failed. thank you! I should be able to get a replacement under warranty but will it be of the same quality? Eventual failure? Any other suggestions?

32 feet? USB is never reliable beyond 12 feet and that is iffy in many circumstances. There has to be more here that is missing that makes 32 feet work. You are using an extender or repeater, yes/no? Or active USB. 16.4 feet is maximum reliable after which said repeater or extender is recommended. Okay I saw the previous post. That is for USB 2.0, 3.0 is a bit shorter. Anything will eventually fail. I am curious what others here have to say, but the Monoprice is one I know of too. Just saw this but do not know if it reliable, or B.S. www.newnex.com/usb-cable-maximum-length-limits.php

The Monoprice cable has been dependable for 7 years, it has failed recently. I just got off the phone with the nice folks at Monoprice and they are shipping me out a new one today. They did not require me the return the failed cable. The mean lifetime warranty when they say it!
Thank you Monoprice and fellow loungers for your advice.

Glad you got the problem solved, but - out of curiosity - why do you need a 32' USB cable? The longest I ever used was a 2 meter and in that case - a 1.2 meter would have been fine, but it was either 1 or 2... Mark

Mark My prime system has a .5 m AQ Carbon cable but this PC is across the room and is only a secondary system. Sounds much better and I can work on other things in the Microsoft world while my Mac Mini is a dedicated audio system.
