Hey All....
We're all aware of Internet Direct Audio companies like Emotiva, SVS, Tekton, HSU, etc. for the usual home theater hardware....
What about headphones?
Anybody aware of internet direct headphone companies that offer high quality / high value products?
Bob

^^^ . Yes, and not to forget Audeze >> link << and ZMF headphones >> link << Also talking about "internet Direct" in a different sense, and depending on the desired quality, and variety of the headphones, as well as desired timing of their delivery, you might want to consider some of Massdrop's offerings : >> link <<

I have a Really nice Beyer Dynamic closed back planer headphone coming from them.

As said before
Hifiman Mrspeaker Audeze
Although I believe audeze and Hifi are sold in retail. But great value.
And yes MassDrop for sure if there is something on there you like. Sennheiser HD650 is a headphone that should be in everyone’s collection. That is a staple at massdrop

Anybody aware of internet direct headphone companies that offer high quality / high value products? Bob Whats your budget? I was thinking $500 to $800ish. I have a pair of Oppo PM-3's now - which are "ok". They were the first "real" headphones I've ever owned. Looking to see what else I might enjoy.... I fly a lot for business, so I use my headphones 99% of the time on airplanes. Closed-back are required.... I have a Fiio X5III and use the balanced 2.5mm output via a custom cable. (https://lqicables.com/) As soon as I can get my hands on one, I'm buying the new Fiio M11 - which will have a 4.4mm balanced jack. Been looking at some of the Focal headphones, which made me wonder what else might be out there that I'm not aware of....

For closed back headphones, Massdrop's Mr. Speakers Ether CX might be up your alley, if you're willing to up the budget to $900 : >> link << And it is very well reviewed too, as you can see : >> Link << The Audeze LCD2C closed back too is within the same price range : >> link << Mr Speakers also sells the Aeon Flow closed back for $799.99, which seems to fall squarely within your preferred budget range: >> link << Still, I suspect that the Massdrop X Mr. Speakers Ether CX might represent the superior deal between the two offerings.

They are Well under your budget, typically around $350.00 online (Use the savings to buy a Headphone amp!). These cans constantly amaze me with their detail, flawless mid-range and airy highs. Not really for bass-heads, but I find their bass to be more than sufficient and very tactile (No boom or bloat). Simply the best headphones I ever heard.

You could also look for some used headphone here: www.head-fi.org/forums/headphones-for-sale-trade.6550/I picked up some of the Ether Cs for $600 used. I can't say enough good things about the Ether C (Drop Mr Speakers Ether CX). They sound wonderful and are light and comfortable. If you're into gaming too, the Audeze Mobius sound good and the 3d head tracking is fun. They sometimes go on sale for $300.

I have the HiFiMan HE560 for home use, and use the Monoprice Monolith M1060 - both Planar Magnetic, both sound great. The Monoprice's are pretty good value at Amazon.
