Hi all,
I thought this may be a fun thread !!!
Trying to tap into all of brain power floating around the Emo forum !!! I found a reason to drag the Klipsch Chorus's outside for the evening !!!!
I'm having a backyard party and will be lighting off fireworks over my pond. Nothing fancy, we live in rural Ohio.... just having some good BBQ and fun with 100 people or so.
I bought this remote firework igniter called Firefly, that allows you program music and sync to a firework show.
Audience is all ages, so trying to keep it family friendly, open to any music genre.
Hoping to avoid the standard patriotic songs, but not opposed recommendations, as I truly love our country.
I need 3-4 songs, and so far I'm considering opening up with Cream "Sunshine of your Love" or possibly Springsteens live version of "Fire"; may throw Muse's "Madness" in the mix as it seems to be catching my attention as well.
All suggestions are appreciated !!!

My favorite music 🎼 🎵 🎶 for a fireworks 🧨 show is NO MUSIC.....at all. Just let the display sing for itself! Seriously, the notion that music has to accompany everything is not at all shared by everyone. My locale puts on a great show a couple of times a year (shot from a barge out on the Hudson River. Hosted by the riverfront, they’ve always got the local DJ airing music that has nothing to do with my personal tastes. Point is we have a great vantage point to enjoy the display and the “thunder” without hearing the lousy music they broadcast. Bill

Bill - You are now officially uninvited to my party. However, we will have a moment of silence to honor your opinion. 😁😊😁.

"American Woman" - Lately, I like the version by Lenny Kravits for a change of pace.
"For those About to Rock" - AC/DC (Not particularly Patriotic and by Brits, but fits the occasion and loud enough to compete with the Booms)
Or go Old School - "Stars and Stripes Forever" is timeless and you don't have to worry about the lyrics
A more modern one that people might relate to: "Goodnight Saigon" by Billy Joel

Not sure I can compete in that level 😁😁😁 I’ve seen him twice myself, around 1990 with Wings, and again about 5 years ago, both great shows, this song too! He does set the bar pretty high! 💥🔥🎸🔥💥

One last suggestion..... Joe Homeowner fireworks all too often end in trouble....quite dangerous. Drop those suckers in a pale of water and take your family to a professional display that’s overseen by the fire department.

You just can't help yourself with the self righteous goody goody do-gooder crap can you? Again, you want to talk about the dangers of home ran fireworks, start your own thread about it. This thread is NOT about that. Quit telling people how to run their lives man.
