Had a light bulb moment today while sitting on the throne this morning. Just moved into a new home and reorganise my L1's, needed to stack them on top of each other and we all know how hot they get so i took off the old feet and replaced them with door stoppers, you know the rubber stopper you put behind the door so it doesn't slam into the wall, you can buy them in all different heights, it worked a bloody treat and i now have air space of 40mm between the amps. Thought this might help someone else out with same problem, you can even get in chrome form with rubber protruding out top and bottom.

My XPA-1's are so big that they stick out of the shelf and the front half sits on a carpetted floor. Bad idea due to heat and blocking the ventilation. So I have elevated it using bricks. Needless to say the wife is NOT thrilled about this.

Needless to say the wife is NOT thrilled about this. some people use what are called hockey pucks. VERY hard rubber and are 25mm thick and 75mm in diameter. Maybe 160 grams. Rock hard and HURT when projected by a player at 80kmh. Other persons use a SUPERBALL cut in half. Put the small side down....use it like a 'spike', only a VERY hard and bouncy rubber. You can still get 'em on Amazon. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_BallCountless other DIY approaches, from tennis balls to your door stop idea.
