Would this support a speaker that is almost 100lbs?

Kinda.. DIY, and if you notice, I use a hunk of rolled up foam under it to do the same thing the stand would. It would definitely look less redneck. I actually picked up the clutter after this shot. Got so many dvd cases, decided to just stuff them in an album and chuck the cases!

Handy-dandy center channel stand that decouples your speaker from resonant surfaces, and also tilts it just so.] Any idea how much it weighs? I have glass shelves so I have to pay attention to such things.

Lol, I just posted about this in the non-VIP area...I need to tilt my center....Given the amount of HT I watch...I may have to seriously consider picking up a 6.3 and stand vs paying $250 for a tilting stand for my OM-C2.....damn, decisions decisions (although, I don't like the idea of splitting up a 'matched set' of speakers', but dialog should be dialog.....) tjf120 - I recently bought a CC stand after searching for stands for my av123 RSC200Sig "bigfoot" speaker. I assembled this table of CC stands in case you are interested. I'll add the SS-6 dimensions when they come out. www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?p=16788332#post16788332Mike (I'm not sure how to attach PDF files here...)

LOL..I can't believe I just now found this thread. It was only an hour ago I was setting up my ERT 6.3 and wondering why there are no feet for it and how the heck can I make it tilt up and look good without scratching anything. Then I found the Emotiva supplied "felt stickies" in the box. So I put those on to at least protect the shelf/speaker surfaces.
Basically what I'm saying is that I need this center channel stand yesterday...put me on the pre-order list..

I know this is not meant to be used with other manufaturer's speakers, but boy is it tempting. I have a Thiel SCS2 center channel that is probably a bit too deep that I have angled downward on my TV using felt pads in the back and small clear rubber feet in the front to keep it front sliding off. Actually works and is well hidden.
I wonder though if one could place the deeper Thiel on the stand with the front of the speaker against the raised lips and just have it overhanging the back of the stand? It should not slide off.
So it wouldn't fit in snuggly, but it should "work"......right?

i like this stand. I will be getting one when the cable products are released so i can combine my parts for shipping.
My question is whats the height of this stand? I would use my center channel on the bottom shelf of my tv stand and aim it upward toward the listening position. I am curious how much height this stand adds cause i fear it will not fit.
Thanks Taam

well it turns out the is a mod kit for the 6.2 Mod kit? Does anyone have additional info on this? I just got a 6.2 for my center channel and I'd love to use the SS-6 speaker stand.
