I have recently invested in the Tekton Ulfberhts. I thought to ask how many of you Emotiva powered amp owners couple Emotiva power with Tekton? Post your pictures or just give your general opinion about the Emotiva Tekton combination.
As for me I won't be unboxing my Ulfberht towers until around Thanksgiving. At that time I'll use an Emotiva Gen 3 5 Channel amp to power one Ulfberht center channel at 4 ohms. And Bi-amp at 4 ohms the towers. Here's a little teaser. The Tekton Ulfberht center channel unboxed to inspect for damage. The color is light gray or "silver dollar". The Ulfberht center differs than the D.I. in that it utilizes larger tweeters in a 5 speaker array vs a smaller 7 speaker array of the D.I.s. To note I plan to review the speakers around early December and will include the Emotiva(s) and the rest of the gear I use. At that time I'll probably be investing in another 4 channel Emotiva amp with 4 ceiling mount Tekton Atmos speakers.

My Pendragons worked very well with my Emotiva A300 power amp. Better, I thought, than with my Emotiva XPA-2, Gen. 3. But since the speakers were so sensitive, they really did well with my 12-watt, vacuum-tube Heathkit mono-blocks.

I wouldn't call buying new speakers an investment. Nevertheless, nice looking speakers! Congratulations. But how do they sound?🤔

Whoa, happy for your purchase! Nice getting those huge ass boxes! Trey Thanks Trey. On that subject if ordering the Ulfberhts be sure to have some help when receiving the order. They came by freight on a big rig semi. The boxes each are 225lbs so a hand truck is a must. Given the size and weight forget about moving these beasts from one point to another without a hand truck. To have the freight company help move the boxes inside your resident is another $150.00 charge.

In all seriousness I won't be listening to them or unboxing the towers until after I move into our new house. We're expecting to move in around Thanksgiving. At that time I'll begin designing and constructing the entertainment stand and putting everything in place. My main concern at this time is sound dampening. Though the room will be huge because it is part of an open area floor plan, with cathedral ceilings, the floor is wood which is sure to add a livelier sound. I'm researching visually appealing sound acoustic panels at the moment.
Anyhoot, just conveying I won't know how they sound until the house and preparation is completed first.

The Tektons will sound spectacular! I power my Pendragons with an XPR-2 and XPR-5, I have a buddy who has the Double Impacts powered by the XPA-Gen3 amps that sound phenomenal as well. Give them some time to break in 20~30 hours and they will really open up. Talk to Eric about set-up, how much toe-in for your listening position and your room. He is always there to help you tweak your system, he custom built my surrounds to match the available space I had on the walls and the Pendragon towers.
For giggles I put my new Basx-a700 on the fronts just to compare with the XPR's. While the a700 is nowhere near an XPR when it comes to sound quality it still sounded very good.

+1 on Mark's comment about break-in. They DO open up after a week or two!

Indeed, but anything looks small next to the Tektons. The Tv is a 65 inch Sony OLED with less than a hour play time. Finished hanging it momentarily befor the photo.

Can’t you get a shot with all the grills off? I bet it looks like your about to get shot at by a battleship! Nada. They simply don't pop on or off but must be massaged as they're contoured around the speakers and fit tightly. Here's a couple more pictures one of which is now displayed on Tekton's site. Starting to add objects to disperse sound such as the trees minus Christmas tree.
