just received an e-mail advertising the T1+ Emotiva speaker. Who will be the first to buy one? The A1 was also advertised but I have no interest in that type of speaker, though it may be useful for those that want Atmos for HT and just can’t install speakers in the ceiling.
Hey Nick! KeithL, how are they different from the original in SQ?
lets have the discussion here.

Yes, it would have been nice if the email link had info on SQ and the differences. A crossover design change can make a big difference but in many different ways.

The difference in sound is actually relatively slight... The main difference is that the midrange is now audibly a tiny bit smoother...
Cosmetically, we removed the little "detail notch" part-way down each side, which made the original T1 look a little bit like two separate cabinets stacked together.
On the original T1, some people liked the extra detail, but some people quite disliked it... Whereas nobody seems to actively dislike the new style...
The new outrigger feet make the speaker a little more difficult to tip over... (And also look quite nice.)

I think the new one is a nice update lookswise. There's really nothing wrong with the airmotiv line. All offer great performance imo. Is there a price increase with this new one?

I wouldn't jump on these right away. They will probably be on closeout by the end of the year!

I don't know if this is the correct place to ask this and it might be to early but does anyone know if the outriggers on the T1+ would fit the T2's and if so be available for purchase?

I don't think anyone here has them yet as they were put up on the site a few days ago, Keith may or may not chime in on that but a call to Emotiva would be your best bet. Chad

You can buy them online. They are not made by Emotiva. They are a generic foot. I believe they just screw into the bottom of any speaker so as long as you don't mind adding 4 holes it shouldn't an issue. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Maybe this have been covered elsewhere, but are the T2, C1, and C2 also getting a "+" revision?
The C1 aesthetics are not very aggressive, IMO, and match the T1+, T-Zero, and B1 aesthetics well already. So, I would think that a C1+ for aesthetics only might not be justified.
BTW, I am considering the T1+ and C1 for the LCR in our 5.1 system. Off topic, but would this combo hold up at spirited listening levels? I like to play convert videos pretty loud on occasion.

I have no clue, but this seems to be the logical choice. They already have a T zero as well so a t2 revision makes sense.

Quick answer: Yes, the T2 & C2 will be getting the same treatment. Not sure about the T1, but the T2 will handle my XPR-2 pretty good. If you need more volume than what a XPR-2 can produce, you need to move closer to your speakers.

According to the current roadmap ....
There will eventually be a T1+, a T2+, a C1+, a C2+, an E2+, and a B1+ .... The new A1 replaces the old E1 .... And the T0, which already has the new styling, remains simply the T0 ....

Other than a styling change, any crossover or driver improvement?

Other than a styling change, any crossover or driver improvement? Yes Copy and Paste of Kieth's post from above on the subject >>>
"The difference in sound is actually relatively slight... The main difference is that the midrange is now audibly a tiny bit smoother...
Cosmetically, we removed the little "detail notch" part-way down each side, which made the original T1 look a little bit like two separate cabinets stacked together.
