Hi all, during the holidays some people tend to drink more, what is your selection, hard liquor or beer, and what kind, I generally like light beer, but love some shots of tequila, namely Gold Cuervo, or make drinks with Jack Daniel's, and of course brandy....

Our Christmas morning drink is always peaches and Champagne. I actually prefer the can peaches. About a tablespoon of peaches, a splash of the syrup and pour the Champange over it. Let it bubble up through the peaches. Yum.

We do a lot of wine on Christmas Day. I do like to start out the morning with a solid pour of Blantons though.

Let me give you all a good idea, you buy a big watermelon, or a couple of small ones, cut it in half, now you can do a couple of different things, cut pieces, or smash it so it will be all water, if you cut it in small pieces then freeze them, if you smashed it then make ice cubes out of it, the next day you use whatever you made to keep drinks cold, as they melt they get mixed in your drinks, so the drinks will not be watery, they will now be tastier....you can thank me later....lol...

We got those once and there is a difference. I prefer the bigger sliced ones. With sugar.

Bitburger or Kaliber. (Zero or very low alcohol beer.)(That's the point!) 30 years ago my cardiologist cut me off from any alcohol due to many years of severe heart and associated rhythm disease. However, a most beautiful Swedish actress, Alicia Vikander, came to mind when I saw the title of this thread, L iquor.

But you said a table spoon, and the big sliced ones, so how many slices should I use, plus how much sugar... Yes, I use a tablespoon to make the delivery. The sliced ones that come in quarter size are my favorite. One or two is fine. Since we use dedicated Champagne flukes one or two fills the bottom nicely. Sugar, meaning don't get the sugar-free ones. They have a funky aftertaste. The good 'ol regular ones in the can are fine. After enjoying a glass or two devour the peaches and start over if desired.
