Hi guys,
So I have a XPA-7 gen3 coming, which hopefully will arrive in the next few days. I did not do my due diligence, so I didn't realize how danged HUGE this amp will be! (17” wide x 8” high x 19” deep (unboxed; including feet))
My question is - What kind of amp stands are you guys using to hold this 19" deep amplifier? I need specific links, or useful suggestions!
Right now, I have a standard 3-shelf Bello TV stand that I am using now. The top shelf holds my 65" TV, the middle shelf holds my center channel, and the bottom shelf holds my Denon X4500 receiver. However, the entire depth of the bottom shelf is only about 17" deep. It comfortably holds my Denon X4500 receiver, but this amp seems like it's about 5 inches deeper. (d'oh!)
Can anyone give links or pics to their stand for an Emotiva XPA3? I assume all the chassis sizes are the same, whether you have an gen3 XPA-2, 3, 7, etc.
I'd love one that that has at least 3 shelves at least 24" tall, where the top shelf could hold a center channel speaker. The TV would be mounted directly above it on the wall, or on a pole mount extending from the rack (if that exists)
Much thanks

I'm probably not much help but I've got a Bello PR45. It's not set up just yet because we are still waiting to move into the new house (late Dec/early Jan). In fact, it's still in the box. The depth of the unit is 22 inches. I also just ordered an amp (Six-6-0) and have the 4500 as well. I shopped pretty extensively online before deciding on the PR45. It has lots of room and depth for all the toys.

I'd say go for what you like knowing that you can cut out the back of the cabinet. I ended up doing that to most of my cabinets that aren't fully metal av racks. You can make nice and neat cutouts for the entire rear of the amp/pre.

I would also plan space for a cooling fan. I have an XMC-1 mounted above a XPA-5 and the AC Infinity S6 with its rear exhaust keeps my stuff very cool in a cabinet that has only the back open. Great for the equipment from a cooling and kids viewpoint.

The amp stands I use are Pangea Vulcans.

As a side note...
I am coming from a Denon X4500h receiver, and going to power all 5 of my speakers with an XPA-7 gen3.
Do you think I will notice much of a gain? I was in a fierce internal debate about which brand/type of 5 or 7 channel amp to go with. I happened to see a hopefully fair price on a used XPA-7

Yea. I considered a stand-alone narrow audio rack, would could sit directly next to my TV stand. However, I eventually planned to have 2 subwoofers up front, L and R of the TV stand. If I use an audio rack there, I won't have enough room left for subs in those locations. Ergo, 1 sub or the audio rack would have to go in another part of the room.

My cabinet has fourteen inch deep shelves. The footprint of the amp has the feet about eleven inches apart front to back. I cut the back out of my current cabinet so the amps stick out the back. Just beware that the amps weigh in at about 30 -35 pounds. I had to beef up the shelf supports to accommodate the weight.

Those are only 18" deep, but look nice.
Do they work well with the Emotiva in real life? since they are 19" deep?

You can build EXACTLY what you need and want. Doesnt' have to be vertical. You can even include the TV and junk out the current TV stand. Me? I'd put the subs where they SOUND best, as opposed to the best visual impact. Distributing subs is not really that bad an approach.

I like that one, if it came with more shelves. I can't seem to find that shelf depth in other taller models.
Or another brand, if I could find one with a similar look and style, and same dimension of shelving.

That's the Miracle of DIY. You can build EXACTLY what you need and want. +1. And since the OP appears to only want amp stands, that represents the easiest DIY cabinetry there is. Get some nice wood, some MDF, or some Baltic Birch plywood, cut it to the exact size you need or want, router the edge as desired, finish as desired, and put on any kind of feet you want (spikes, legs or casters etc). Done. Don't have the tools? Ask around work or call a friend. Odds are high someone you know does this kind of thing.

I did not say I want an amp stand. I have a large TV stand that has 3 shelves... the problem is, the lowest shelf doesn't hold the depth needed for this amp to work.
Ideally I like some open air stand like this, to set all the components on. at least 20" deep, and probably 36-40"+ wide. I like the Salamander TV unit, but I don't want to pay $1,000+ for something like that.

Well first you said this.... Then you said this... So your original question is misleading, and you don’t want an amp stand, you want a short AV Rack. Now we are all on the same page. Don’t get too bogged down with the 19” measurement. That’s the amp itself, including the posts sticking out the back. The feet on the bottom aren’t that deep, more like 17”. So this amp will sit on a 19” shelf, but you will also need additional room in back for wiring. I assume that since you aren't replying to the DIY suggestions, you don't want to do that. Knowing that would have been helpful. You didn't mention budget in your original post. That might make it easier for people to help you out. Since budget is an issue, I'd just do some searching yourself on Amazon as they will probably steer you to the most affordable options.

You can easily DIY 1000$ worth of rack for maybe 60% that cost.
And don't forget, if you integrate your solution, you might have 'extra' stuff to SELL. That' saves space and recoups a little of what you put into the new construction.
Lack of ability / knowledge / tools IS a problem. I'm not whiz at this stuff, but do improvise very well indeed. But I'd bet you do have a buddy who could help. Personally?
I built a large box for ALL my BBQ stuff including ceramics, 3x20bags of charcoal and all the goodies. It is completely waterproof with a custom designed lid which overlaps on ALL
sides. Water would have to flow UPHILL to get in the box. Lid closes with an air-cushion. So it can't even slam. It's on casters so I can move it AND after construction I had my
240lb buddy hop in for a ride. No problemo.
For YOUR rack? I'd start with dimenstions desired of each shelf. Try to find Oak or Maple cutting boards to suit. The BOOS Blocks are Cost-No-Object but also thick heavy, end grain construction.
Figure cost of all-thread legs in 3/4" or 20mm.....something in that size area.
Build what YOU want.
