Boom you must have missed the smiley face. Trolling has absolutely nothing to do with my attempt at poking fun at you. Mark Apologies, Mark - I'm the world's worst at detecting tongue-in-cheek online...

...Why such hostility and irritation exist over the purported superiority of one over the other is ridiculous... Agreed wholeheartedly!

I am waiting to hear the first vocalist who sings digitally. He will probably be an extraterrestrial.

I didn't vote because "better" is too broad a term for me to answer one or the other. I just bought another old receiver for the amp to listen to 2 channel music because I think music/CDs sounds better through the older amps. Better being flowing, musical, less harsh. However as the article said, digital will have more of the music and more detailed. Also better. So better is in the ear of the listener. Agree, I would also add that some vinyl versions (mixes etc) are simply better than their digital counterparts. If everything else is equal then on average digital sounds better, but it's very rare that "everything is equal". There is a lot of great music on vinyl that will never be better on digital because the source material (tape) is either non existent or beyond recovery. I have both and I enjoy listening to both and that's all that matters to me. Cheers Gary I concur with you my friend! I have both, listen to both but when it comes right down to it I can’t begin to afford all the music I would want on vinyl. Only the very best recordings of what music I love the most gets purchased in this format! Most all others will be left to high quality streaming, now there’s something to debate! LOL

Recently I've been noticing a revival of records in stores...not looking for to $25 albums going forward. I've seen some youtube videos out there concerning newer hi-res vinyl companies coming out. Then again dacs are getting better and better and now I'm looking at buying used cd's at my local hi-fi record and dvd store. Nice getting cd's for $1-2 and sometimes for $.25 cents. :>)

Obsolete media platforms continue to be discounted. Good values to be had there... I get most of my music in bulk from yard and estate sales. A whole huge cardboard box of CDs for $10 generally brings a much lower per-disc price than single discs, and gives me exposure to a bunch of new music. Any box with 25% or more of classical titles also usually ensures that all discs in that lot are in "like new" condition.
