I have a UMC-1 which I use from time to time for various testing purposes.
A few weeks ago I was testing a 2.1 set of speakers using the UMC-1 and an Adcom GFA 555 II I have laying about. For fun I thought I would go through the auto calibration. The system is not hooked up to a monitor. When I tried to run the auto calibration, it would sit on the option to start, and not take any commands from the Remote.
I was wondering if anyone can help with this?
If so, I can fire everything up and get a better step by step of what I tried and post it here.
Also if someone has the picture (or a good description) of the calibration microphone, it is possible I am using the wrong one as I have mic's from various MFR's.

Quick suggestion -- try resetting the UMC-1/recall defaults in the system menu before running auto calibration each time (I know this is annoying...). Also, without a display, viewing its resulting distance/crossover/EQ per channel will be challenging... There's a picture of the measurement mic in this video review: www.youtube.com/watch?v=2xOincmMFmM
