Has anyone had an 'err init AXMC1' on their XMC-1, resulting in not being able to boot the XMC-1 beyond this error message. Was it a back to Franklin only fix? Think I already know the answer, but anything I can try out before boxing it up? Have done the usual back switch, leaving unplugged, disconnecting everything etc with no luck. I have emailed support but was just curious whilst waiting for a reply. In Australia so trying support email before an early morning call!! Thanks!!

Thanks for posting this. I was highly considering replacing my XSP-1 with the refurb XMC-1, With only a one year warranty would hate to risk this happening to mine. Hoping Emotiva gets your preamp up and running again.

First thing I would do is to hear what technical support has to say about this. While waiting, you could leave the unit unplugged overnight with the rear switch in the ON position, then give it another shot. Bill

Quick update. This was a very easy fix!!! A connector on the power supply board had slightly worked loose. Pushed back in, and away she went. Can only guess trip down under had some turbulence. Anyways thanks heaps to Keith for working this out, and his valuable time. Always more than goes out of his way to help out, no matter how busy. Greatly appreciated. Cheers πππ

I was going to suggest looking under the hood for a loose connection after a tech support chat! (congratulations) Interesting that most of the XMC connectors are of the snap lock variety and should survive domestic shipping. My former processor had virtually all press on pull off ribbons when I went in there and virtually all of them were loose to one extent or another. Bill

Oh Yeah! I had the UPS guy in front of me on the road one day.... As he went around the bend, I had to dodge his hand truck, which came flying out of the open door and into my lane! Bill

LOL I watched them push my Outlaw subs off the back of the truck and hit the ground on the 1st of 2. Needless to say I intervened.

I picked mine up directly from the dealer....(did I say βpicked upβ? I meant muscled into my van at the time along with a helper from the store. At 115 Lbs. that was some fun, especially when I got home. Years later, when the XMC1 got delivered, I watched Mr. Postal guy walk up the driveway with the unit up sideways on his shoulder. I gave serious consideration to popping the cover for a quick inspection of the connectors before the installation, but let it go in lieu of the warranty. Bill
