Anyone have tickets yet?
We just got them for Dec 21st!
My nine year old daughter said, "wouldn't it be cool if Luke's force ghost and the emporers force ghost had a battle?"
My response: well yes, yes it would be.

Looking forward to seeing that fancy new Light Sabre (with the center handle) in action!!
Mann...I’m gettin old. I remember the radio 📻 playing while I was at work around 1977 and hearing a dreaded disco 💃 version of Star Wars being aired Over and over again until I thought I might shove my finger down my throat. At least we’ve gotten past that.

You guys are talking about MECO. I didn’t like the Star Wars disco version they put either but, I’m sorry to admit, I liked their version of Wizard Of Oz.

Yes, we have them for the 21st as well. A new theatre opened up close to our house called Studio Movie Grill. I bought the tickets for there after going to see Knives Out there last weekend. Great experience. All leather recliner seats, servers for anything you would want.

Nothing like having dinner, a gin and tonic while seeing a movie on the BIG screen. Its also an Atmos theater. Enjoy!

Can't wait for it to come out on 4k UHD Disk! My theater is better (to me) than all of if the pay per movie one's. 😂👍

We have tickets on the 20th for a group of eight of us at iPic theater. Really cool high end theater where you have these personal pods for chairs and table service food and drinks. Only about 30 people per theater. It’s not a super cool imax screen, but it’s a awesome date night setup.

A little bit finer then the Studio Movie Grill experience. These high end places are starting to be the only thing that gets us out to the the theater as our home theater experience is outstanding.

My twin boys (now 24), bought 6 tickets 2 months ago, they live in New York, I'm taking my 11 year old boy (driving from Cleveland), to see it in the best IMAX theater there on the 21st, then the next day (which is my birthday) driving back to Cleveland with all my boys to spend Christmas....

Let me post the first spoiler... I hearing lots of bad things coming from the screening tests. From what I can gather, if The Last Jedi wasn't your thing, you'll hate this one.

The Force Awakens was a natural must see if a Star Wars fan. To say the least, IMO, it was disappointing. Rogue One gave me hope that The Last Jedi would be worth watching, and again a disappointment for me. I won’t be fooled again, so now that I have Disney+, I’ll just wait till I can stream it and it will at least sound and look great with Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision.

I thought the Last Jedi was great on first viewing. Second and third viewing not so much. Found myself preferring the Force Awakens.

I'm a big Star Wars fan so I'll ultimately see "Rise Of Skywalker", but I can't say I'm excited at this point. I've been rather disappointed since Disney took over the franchise. Its not that I have not enjoyed parts of the movies or came away thinking they were terrible per se. I just have not found them memorable and have not had the urge to watch any of them a second time. Though I am unexpectedly enjoying "The Mandolorian", so all hope is not lost.

I'll rent this one. The marketing has been horrible and the media has been crapping on the fans for 2 years now. I'll keep my money. The sad thing is I used to be a massive Star Wars fan, can't believe in 4 years Disney has made me not give a crap about Star Wars anymore

The best of the new star wars movies is rogue one and then solo is a distant second. I'll wait to see reviews before dropping coin on theater tickets. Sorry to be a party pooper but unless they start making decent films I feel like I've been sold out to the franchise machine thingy...the last script was a mess and even mark hamils character couldn't save that movie...

The sad thing is I used to be a massive Star Wars fan, can't believe in 4 years Disney has made me not give a crap about Star Wars anymore This could not be more true. We went and saw The Rise of Skywalker last night. It reminded me of the 4th Indian Jones movie. No new ground broken, just a lot of nods to the past. It was 'old hat'. While it made me smile quite a bit (and I did not hate it by any means) I said two things to my wife last night: 1.) I'm glad its over 2.) Like dust770 is saying here, I cannot believe these last three movies just made me not give a sh** about something that brought me great joy earlier in my life. Sad to say, moving on. At least we still have the original trilogy. Jason
